Scott Irwin joined El Dorado Ventures in 2000. He focuses on software and infrastructure investments.
Scott is currently a board member of Allegiance, Convio (NASDAQ: CNVO), Tower Cloud and Webtrends. At El Dorado, he was previously a board member or observer at Bridgelux, MediaQ (acquired by nVidia), RipCode (acquired by RGB Networks) and Torrex (acquired by Applied Materials).
Prior to El Dorado, Scott held software engineering and product marketing positions with Accenture, where he managed enterprise software products targeting the energy industry and served as an industry analyst for emerging Internet technologies and vendors. His early career experience was with Morgan Stanley and Alcatel-Lucent.
Scott received a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia, with high distinction, and an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA, where he was a Venture Fellow and Welsh Scholar.
