Patty Burke
Patty Burke is president of Burke Consulting, providing marketing strategy, planning and management services to technology companies. Patty has held VP-level positions with Silicon Valley companies for more than fifteen years, providing hands-on leadership in corporate and product marketing, sales and business development. Patty was most recently vice president marketing at Ramp Networks, guiding the company from product introduction through its 1999 IPO (acquired by Nokia in 2000). She previously held vice president positions with Madge Networks and Symantec, and was director of product marketing at Symantec's Peter Norton product group. Patty was also vice president of the Networking/Telecom practice at the consulting firm Regis McKenna Inc., working with companies such as Motorola, PacBell, 3Com and numerous start-ups. In her early career, Patty held positions in non-profits and consumer and sports marketing.
Patty is a frequent industry speaker on topics ranging from corporate positioning to product planning. She received a BA from the University of Texas.
Michael Jennings
Michael brings more than 20 years of experience in information systems, business development, finance and manufacturing to his current role in advising technology companies on product development, delivery and market strategy and working with the venture capital community to evaluate new technology investments. Michael most recently served as co-founder, Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Business Development at Appshop, the leading provider of hosted Oracle application and database technology. Michael's experience includes positions with companies such as United Technologies, Pratt & Whitney, InfoSolutions and SimulTrans. Michael has designed and built industry leading hosting and software delivery platforms, built and managed global information system support organizations, supported over 300 technology sales cycles, managed the implementation of more than 30 ERP and CRM deployments, founded and built three companies. In his tenure, Michael has also held senior finance positions as a CFO and Controller.
Mike earned a Diploma in Network Management and Engineering from the University of California at Santa Cruz. |
